This is an updated review of play.custardcream.xyz
It will only list changes compared to the previous post.
I still receive a lot of messages and the default McMMO Scoreboard is useless.
The spawn is still the same weird place that doesn't make sense. Why does a survival server have the spawn as a SkyBlock island?
While the adminshop changed a bit (And got rid of those weird looking birch doors) does it still look weird.
Currency is now shown in tab. That's good.
You still hide your /plugins
Read my previous post of your server about why this is useless.
Your store links STILL default to http! I already told you that this is NOT GOOD for a online shop where people pay with real life money.
Change the links people get to use https and not http, because apparently does Tebex (I assume at least you use Tebex (aka. BuyCraft)) not change all http to https requests on its own.
Old Rating: 3
New Rating: 5 [OK]
Still existing and new issues:
While your server still has some issues are the most annoying ones (with one or two exceptions) fixed... It's still nothing new to the list of servers out there.
Right on join I get flooded with messages.
"You have automatically been assigned the path '...'"? What is that? Why do I see this? Should I care? There is no real welcoming message for me.
Please disable the deny message from WorldGuard using /rg flag <region|__global__> deny-message -e
The spawn itself looks... ok. The spawnpoint is a bit weird (Spawning at the edge of a small island.
The Buildings are basic (even too basic for my taste) and could require more attention to detail, especially since places like the adminshop look poor.
I don't fully like holograms for tutorials. Yeah they are better than signs, but it still is only reading and only covers 2 major things: What the server is about and what you can do in the future. It doesn't give any interactive way.
Also, at the end do you use a scoreboard for information? Why not using that from the beginning? It's easier to read than semi-bright holograms.
At the exit does it tell me to jump into the lake... But just walking towards it is enough.
The text of the /help menu is a bit longer than the inventory... Perhaps make it a bit smaller.
No clear indicator of how much money I have while there is clearly a currency used.
The tablist looks kinda bad. The red, gray and white color doesn't that well together and certain info isn't really required. Like why would I want to have the ping on the header but also on my name?
When typing "/plugin" does it already suggest me "/pluginhider"... Why even hide your plugins?
I already know that you're using McMMO (the old version. You should perhaps consider using the one of the original dev), GriefPrevention, Holographic Displays, PluginHider (obviously), WorldEdit, WorldGuard and some generic GUI menu (my guess is DeluxeMenus).
You for sure have nothing unique that needs to be "hidden". Also, it triggers twice for one command.
This is not related to plugins, but your store doesn't use HTTPS which is a HUGE security risk for a SHOP. Setup proper HTTPS.
I apparently finished a challenge or similar by walking 1,000 blocks and received 500 exp... Where? I don't have any Exp. Or is that your currency? I can't tell since there is no place to see this!
Final Rating: 3/10 [Bad]
So I randomly spawn somewhere in the world without any knowledge why this happened.
At least give players a message why this happens.
Next thing is having 5 or 6 different messages in different styles (Image 1)
Also, there is apparently a Creative world? Didn't you say you try to be "a new server that tries to challenge the norm of survival servers being all about custom worlds, economy and levels."? Because a Creative world sure doesn't challenge this.
/spawn is blocked... okay.
/help is blocked too... THAT is a no-go. Instead of blocking it, make it something that helps players. Like give info on how to get started ot what makes your server so special (Spoiler: Pretty much nothing).
Final Rating: 1/10 [Pure Shit]
