Why is Spigot bad?
Spigot (SpigotMC) is a well known MC-Server software that allows you to use plugins on your server to enhance the default gameplay of Minecraft... But I won't talk about the software. I will talk about the website spigotmc.org and why it is bad in multiple levels.
Reason 1: Spigot accepts everything
Spigot allows everyone to upload their own resources. This isn't limited to plugins only... Website designs, standalone software, premium resources, you name it.
But here comes the problem. Since everyone can just create an account and upload a plugin, does it mean that a lot of "Beginner plugins" are uploaded.
By beginner plugins do I mean all those "Type /command, receive text" plugins, or other plugins where you can clearly see that it is from a tutorial.
There are unique plugins for sure, but they get lost in the pages through the flooding of all those Essentials remakes.
Reason 2: No support for your resources
Spigot gives a f*ck when it comes to helping you protecting your resource(s).
Even more does it look like they try to do the oposite.
Let's assume the following scenario: You have created a premium plugin and uploaded it to Spigot. Now you want to prevent leaks and cracks of your plugin. How would you do that?
Spigot doesn't offer anything for you to use, in order to prevent those leaks. Even more do they punish you if you try to implement something like a license-system to limit the amount of servers a plugin can be used.
Reason 3: No effort to help developers
Did you ever check Spigot's Javadocs? I did and it was kinda frustrating.
I wanted to check a Event in BungeeCord to see what a certain class/object returns and what I can do with it aaaand... nothing. No description of the object, no info about variables, nor any info about what I can do.
I was pretty lost on what I should do now and if it wasn't for another developer that gave me the right methods to use, I would've never managed to implement what I have planned for my resource...
And this is a huge issue. The javadocs are the #1 place to find information and if those lack any information then you as a developer are lost.
Sure, there are comments and such on certain methods, but in most cases are those only the most popular ones used. Other ones that aren't that much used or that are used by more skilled devs are not that well documented and leave the devs hanging.
A good example of a Javadoc is the one from JDA. It is well documented, has examples of how to use methods in certain situations, where a explanation is useful and links to additional sources like Javadocs from Oracle (Java).
The Spigot and BungeeCord Docs are just the bare minimum which is a disapointment.
The spawn looks okay.
It has some nice details, but for examples are the holograms at the tutorial warp a bit to wide, which makes it more difficult to read them.
While the spawn looks good does it feel a bit empty. Add a few armour stands or NPCs to give the spawn some life!
"Player Info" on the scoreboard just shows me my name which is A) Useless as I should already know my in-game name and B) is a waste when you only show one thing and use an animation for it...
WorldGuard messages should be disabled. To do this run /rg flag (flag|__global__) deny-message -e
I first saw thought you actually get a special, custom made island but then realized it's only the command center and that the island you get is just another simple (default) island.
By the way: Getting hurt from falling leaves, when chopping down a tree is absolutely no fun.
I likestackable items thing.
The tablist looks a bit.... full, with all thos prefixes shown. It also studders a lot and I have the feeling that this isn't intentional.
Blocking /pl and even straight up lieing that you don't have any.... if that would be true, then how would you...
But again: You shouldn't block /pl in the first place.
/help is blocked... Why? It is one of the first commands player will use and the most informative and useful one.
You could have a GUI with categories or something else, but don't just block it.

The title is not really a good way to welcome people,
Half of the text was cut off and unreadable.
The hologram says "Buycraft: Coming soon. (/buy)". What now? Will it come soon or is it already available?
Also the different colours make it not so good to look at.
Why have a nightvision and saturation effect that is always at around a minute? Can I disable it in a way?
The spawn is ripped straight from another server or a website that shares those files.
I saw it more than once to recognize those mines.
Also using such a huge spawn just for a few mines is useless and overkill.
Even tho I have Rank D I can't enter the mine labeled with "D"
TEXT IN BOLD AND CAPS IS NOT A GOOD WAY TO TYPE!
No sereously. This combination is bad to look at and with things like the Clear messages is this annoying and only spams chat.
Also, the clear message appears way too frequent in chat. Mentioning it 60 seconds before, 30 seconds before and when it was cleared is more than enough!
The menu from /help is barely readable. Half of the text can't be read when you have the GUI size set to "auto" (like me),
Who with a normal mind would buy a rank for 1,000 Dollars?!
Also you don't say anything about what the ranks provide or what the other items give access too or provide.
But I'm sure that it is something that is against the Minecraft EULA. The EULA doesn't allow you to sell items, blocks or similar that give an advantage over other players that have no (easy) way to obtain it.
Also you sell tokens (ingame currency) which confirms my thought.
Why do I have to define a shop for the /sellall command?
Iirc can you auto-set a shop for the players current rank.
Why do I have other tools when there's literally no other place to use them? The pickaxe is really the only one to use and also way too overpowered with those enchantments.
Default "Hey! Sorry, but you can't break that block here" message. Remove it with /rg flag <region> deny-message -e (Use __global__ as region name to disable for the whole world)
Denying /pl... Why? Nobody cares what for average plugins you're using. I already know you're using BuyCraft/Tebex, EzRanksUp, EzPrestige, custom stiled Essentials, etc.
And finally default "[Server] World saved" message.
